This role will be responsible for delivering change by providing new and innovative ideas to improve the way organisations operate, improving patient care and bridging gaps between services, people and technology. Working across multi-disciplinary teams and services, the post holder will empower staff to become more efficient and effective in the way services are delivered. The strategic aim of this role is to ensure that clinicians have access to the right data at the right time in the care setting required.

The post holder will work closely with the IM&T Business Managers, LPT Change Team, Application Support and Training Team. Close working is also required with the Trust Information and Performance teams to ensure strong processes, configuration and procedures are in place to support data quality.

You will be working across Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland at Leicestershire Partnership Trust sites, so a reliable vehicle for personal use is essential for this position. You must possess good communication skills, be highly organised, self-motivated and efficient.

Main duties of the job

  • Be a subject matter expert for IM&T clinical systems.
  • Research for potential solutions to meet emerging business requirements where a technical solution is required.
  • Make judgements about how to deliver technical projects where there can be a range of complex factors.
  • Participate in the development of services, new ways of working and the implementation of change.
  • Deal with issues that could affect Trust-wide systems.
  • Communicate highly complex technical information, e.g. with hardware/systems suppliers and other IT teams to establish exactly where a fault has occurred and agree a solution.
  • Educate users to help them understand technical issues and to avoid repeats of issues. Relay technical information to users in a way that they can understand.

LPT Change Team

You will be a member of the LPT Change Team. The team offer IM&T clinical systems (mainly SystmOne) advice about functionality and possibilities of working smarter and developing solutions for LPT services.

We work across all Trust directorates including the three clinical directorates:

  • CHS - Community Health Services
  • FYPC.LDA - Families Young People & Children, Learning Disabilities and Autism
  • DMH - Adult Mental Health and Older Persons Mental Health

Qualifications

Essential
  • Degree level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • At least one qualification in an IM&T related industry qualification.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development within the last 12 months.

Experience

Essential
  • Experience of working within resource constraints of budgets or staff.

Clinical IM&T System

Essential
  • Specialist Knowledge and expertise across one or more specialised areas acquired through degree level or equivalent qualification or experience. (Please describe the knowledge and expertise, and how it relates to this role).
  • To be able to demonstrate understanding of current developments in the NHS and their implications for leadership and quality of care for clients/service users.

Mobility
