Fabrication Apprentice
The company is looking to recruit 2 apprentices to work on a variety of functions in the Nuclear Engineering Industry. You will be involved with the fabrication of metals such as stainless, duplex, carbon as well as work with a variety of procedures such as TIG, MAG, FCAW.
Role
Day to day tasks include:
- Work to a variety of procedures covering TIG, MAG, FCAW etc
- Fabrication of parts in the following metals: stainless, duplex, carbon, nickel chrome, aluminium and monel
- Work with a wide range of thicknesses of plates and sections
- Working with electric or manual hand tools as required to support the job
- Interpret and work to MITP’s Route cards, Drawings, Weld Maps and WPS requirements
- Follow weld maps and record consumables onto weld history sheets
Training
- This is a level 3 Engineering Technician apprenticeship - Technical Support pathway, delivered over a period of 3 years
The apprentice will be required to attend the training centre, In-Comm Training Services in Aldridge, Walsall, WS9 8UG, on a full time basis for the first 12 months as part of the training.
Please ensure you are able to travel to this site as well as the company site.
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there will be opportunity to have a full time position.
