Buying Assistant Apprentice

This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience in procurement and supply chain processes and procedures while working towards a recognised qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the ASM purchasing team with all aspects of hardware purchasing and expediting of all orders
• Work collaboratively to develop knowledge of the best sourcing routes
• Evaluate potential and existing suppliers to source goods/services
• Go out to market to source goods/services where the requirements cannot be met within the current supply base (request for quotes etc.)
• Build strong relationships with suppliers
• Collaborate with key business teams to analyse data to negotiate terms and agreements with vendors
• Identify areas for cost savings through the purchasing process
• Place Supplier purchase orders in a timely, accurate and efficient manner
• Update business systems with the expected delivery dates from suppliers
• Focus on achieving KPIs set by the business and those agreed with your line manager
• Report, present and communicate data to colleagues as and when required
• Ensure that day to day processes of the business are followed and remain compliant
• To undertake additional duties as may be assigned from time to time
