Business Description & Job Summary:

Our client is a rapidly expanding company which has been recently recognised as one of the Top 10 growing businesses in the North West.

We are seeking an experienced ERP Analyst with experience in the manufacturing sector and knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central (desirable). This pivotal role will be responsible for our ERP system's administration, configuration, customisation, and support. The expertise of this role will ensure that our ERP system aligns with our evolving business needs and maximises efficiency across all departments.

Although they offer the flexibility of a hybrid role, we envisage at least 3 days per week on-site as the role requires interaction with users in their own environments across our 3 locations.

Responsibilities:

• System Administration: Manage the day-to-day operation of Dynamics NAV 2018, including user management, security, system updates and support desk tickets.
• Configuration & Customisation: Configure and customise the ERP system to meet the company's unique manufacturing processes, including but not limited to production planning, inventory management, supply chain, and quality control.
• Training & Support: Provide training and ongoing support to end-users, ensuring they can effectively utilise the ERP system's features and functionalities.
• Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:
• Day-to-day Skills: Proactively monitor system performance and identify potential issues before they escalate. Utilise strong problem-solving skills and a systematic approach to investigate and diagnose errors, data inconsistencies, and system malfunctions.
• Technical Expertise: Possess an understanding of NAV/Business Central architecture, codebase, and data structures. Be proficient in using debugging tools, reading system logs, and analysing error messages to pinpoint root causes - or liaising with 3rd party support partner to achieve the same outcome.
• Collaborative Approach: Work closely with end-users to gather information, replicate issues, and test solutions. Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, explaining complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
• Resolution and Prevention: Implement timely and practical solutions to resolve issues, minimise downtime, and ensure business continuity. Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and preventive measures to build a knowledge base for future reference.
• Develop and maintain: documentation related to system configurations, processes, and procedures for all stakeholders.
• Upgrade Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and prepare for the upgrade and migration from Dynamics NAV 2018 to Dynamics 365 Business Central, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption to operations.

Requirements:

• Experience:
• Proven record of accomplishment and experience as an ERP Specialist/Analyst, focusing on Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central or similar ERP.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and industry-specific requirements.
• Demonstrated NAV 365 Business Central configuration, customisation, and support expertise.
• Experience with data migration, integration, and reporting within the ERP system.
• Experience with process mapping and documentation.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
• Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into clear and concise documentation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and results oriented.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Dynamics NAV or Business Central.
• Experience with system upgrades and migrations.
• Previous experience working with third-party support partners.
• Knowledge of other ERP systems and their integration capabilities.
