About Our Client:

Our client, a market leading distributer, is seeking an IT Service Desk Support Engineer to join their team. With a global presence and a diverse range of world-class suppliers, our client offers innovative solutions and continually embraces industry trends.

About The Job:

As the IT Service Desk Support, you will be responsible for providing first-line technical support and maintenance for all internal systems, devices, and applications used by the company's employees. Working closely with the Systems Support Analyst and the IT Assistant, you will ensure efficient and secure operations for all employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st line technical IT support for all UK staff via various channels.
  • Assess and escalate support calls using the IT Ticketing system.
  • Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
  • Install and configure iPhones, operating systems, and applications.
  • Install additional hardware such as monitors, docks, headsets, printers, and network cabling.
  • Follow set processes for onboarding new starters.
  • Update IT documentation, including asset registers and user guides.
  • Monitor hardware and consumables stocks and advise on ordering requirements.
  • Maintain user accounts and groups in Active Directory.
  • Perform operational checks and support O/S updates and upgrades.
  • Support additional project work as required.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience with IT ticketing management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Windows 11.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Clear communication skills across various platforms.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow written processes.
  • Passion for providing high-level customer service.
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
  • Enthusiasm for upskilling and learning all business applications.

  • Global staff of over 4,300, with a UK team of 220+.
  • Office based in Sutton, conveniently located near the station.
  • Standard working hours, Monday-Friday, with a 37.5-hour week.
