Are you an experienced Data Architect looking for the next exciting opportunity in your career? Our client, a large Central Government Department, is seeking a Senior Data Architect to join their team. With their extensive experience in data architecture strategy and the ability to design and implement enterprise data and reporting architectures, our client is dedicated to delivering exceptional business intelligence and management information solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and develop scalable data solutions, including designing data models for analytical use-cases and advanced analytics.
- Integrate large, complex, and disparate data sources to ensure the delivery of consistent and reliable datasets.
- Manage Data Platform Services in the public sector, including architecting AWS-based solutions and implementing data governance processes.
- Translate business and data requirements into scalable architectures, ensuring alignment with architecture best practises and blueprints.
- Provide Architecture Advisory Services and support delivery teams in maintaining adherence to architecture roadmaps.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to extract data from various sources, transform it using ETL pipelines with Python and SQL, and deploy automated ETL workflows on AWS-Lambda.
- Develop Reproducible Analytical Pipelines (RAP) on AWS using tools such as AWS-Redshift, Sage Maker for model training, and R-Shiny apps for interactive data exploration.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and continuously enhance your technical skills.
Skills:
- Extensive experience in data architecture strategy, development, and design.
- Proven track record of implementing enterprise data and reporting architectures.
- Familiarity with BI/MI use-cases.
- Strong knowledge of AWS and experience architecting AWS-based solutions.
- Understanding of data security requirements and data governance processes.
- Proficiency in ETL pipelines, Python, SQL, and working with various data sources.
- Experience with automated ETL workflows and deploying them on AWS-Lambda.
- Familiarity with Reproducible Analytical Pipelines (RAP) and associated tools such as AWS-Redshift, Sage Maker, and R-Shiny apps.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS-Certified Solutions Architect (Professional) and AWS Certified Big Data/Security Specialties are desirable.
