IT Systems Support Engineer

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a IT Systems Support Engineer to join their team in London, Docklands. You will join them on a full time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of up to £45,000 per annum + excellent benefits (travel allowance, bonus scheme, pension, life assurance, income protection + private health care).

In the UK their Docklands data centre campus facilitates the majority of the London Internet Exchange’s (LINX) capacity, meaning that they support a huge proportion of all UK internet traffic, making their Docklands campus a globally important internet hub.

The IT Systems Support Engineer role overview:

As their IT Systems Support Engineer,  you will be responsible 2nd line support and administration of Windows based systems (Office365 etc) and virtualised infrastructure systems.

Key responsibilities of the IT Systems Support Engineer:

  • Implementation, Administration and Daily 2nd line support of all Windows based systems and applications including Office365, Azure, Teams, Exchange online, Windows Operating systems and Active Directory.
  • Support Disaster Recovery and Business continuity of all Windows based systems and applications including Office365, Azure, Teams, Exchange online, Windows Operating systems and Active Directory.
  • Administration of Sharepoint and Intune System.
  • Automated software deployment and administration using tools e.g. MSI, GPO, PowerShell scripting, PDQ etc.
  • Configuring and maintaining Windows 10 enterprise E5 including EDR.
  • Support and administration of all Virtualized (VMWare) and stand-alone (Dell) servers.
  • Server deployment, backup and recovery (VEEAM)  using VMware and Centralized compute/storage.
  • Support and administration of all remote/security/web systems Incl: SSL VPN, Firewall/IDS (Fortinet), Proxy, RSA etc
  • Support and administration of centralized compute (Cisco UCS Blade) and future tech
  • Support and administration of all storage systems Incl: Local storage, Dell Unity and future tech.

Requirements they’re looking for in their IT Systems Support Engineer:

  • MCSE or Equivalent Microsoft Certification with emphasis on messaging e.g. Productivity Solutions Expert.
  • At least one Office365 certification.
  • At least one MS Windows Certification e.g. Server 2019
  • All MS Windows based systems and applications including Office365, Azure, Teams, Exchange online, Windows Operating systems and Active Directory.
  • MS PowerShell administration (in Depth Knowledge and Experience)
  • All Office products
  • Windows 10
  • Sharepoint
  • Windows 10 enterprise and EDR
  • Anti Virus and malware applications
