2nd Line IT Engineer - Northampton – Formula 1 – 12 month contract

This amazing long-term contract role for a 2nd Line IT Engineer is a unique opportunity to showcase your expertise and skills with a world leading motorsport business in Northamptonshire.

You will be a key member within the team and the person that secures this position will be crucial to the success of this dynamic company on its road advanced engineering projects. The role is based 100% on site.

Be skilled at…

  • Troubleshooting, problem solving and root cause analysis
  • Prioritisation and self-management
  • Support and optimization of in-house and bespoke applications
  • Adapting to change, learning quickly in a fast paced environment

Have experience of…

  • Delivering exceptional customer service under pressure
  • Operational support within a medium to large sized enterprise
  • A wide range of technical experience within a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Planning, organising, leading and delivering fast moving workloads with both internal and external resources
  • Working to recognised methodologies i.e. (ITIL, PRINCE2, Agile)
  • Supporting junior colleagues via mentoring, training and documentation

Demonstrate knowledge of…

  • Enterprise application, middleware and infrastructure technologies
  • Database support, administration and optimisation
  • Capacity, performance and availability monitoring
  • Security, vulnerability and malware threat prevention
  • Desirable - Motorsport, OEM automotive or engineering background

Hold these qualifications…

  • Degree or relevant qualifications in a technology or science subject

Be…

  • A self-starter with a can-do attitude
