Job Title: Head of Business Management and PMO
Location: Warton or Frimley ideally but options for other locations available as some business travel is necessary. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: £80,100 + depending on skills and experiences plus executive benefits

What you'll be doing:
- Establishing the team including confirming the roles and numbers required to enable Business Management
- Working with value streams and other digital services central functions to understand resource and financial requirements
- Engaging with value streams to capture and baseline initiatives and delivery plans and implement appropriate systems and controls to monitor, manage, and communicate delivery against baselines
- Engaging with other Product Line leads and establish a regular cadence of interaction and ways of working that allow for sharing of understanding and plans, finances, resources, risks, and issues between the teams
- Implementing appropriate systems to control the flow of work ensuring that the right things are delivered in the right way
- Being able to demonstrate the value of the Business Management team to the wider FCAS business by delivering the capabilities required at the right time to enable the programme to be successful
Your skills and experiences:
- Programme and project management, specifically relating to technology delivery
- Broad understanding of foundation digital technologies including applications and infrastructure
- Experience in service management processes and delivery
- Financial and resource management
- Ability to communicate at all levels and build trusting relationships
- Prince2 or similar programme management qualifications or demonstrable experience
- SAFe or similar agile delivery qualifications or demonstrable experience

The team:
The UK Combat Air Strategy, launched in 2018, set out a bold vision of future combat air capability for the UK, it is embodied by Tempest, an international future combat air system (FCAS) that will pioneer new technology, capable of staying ahead of evolving threats, enabled by decades of expertise in a world leading industry.
To ensure that we can run an effective and efficient IT delivery organization, this role reports to the Director of Digital Services - FCAS and GCAP. It is responsible for managing the PMO and business operations, which includes organizing plans, finances, resources, risks, and issues, as well as vendor engagement and tasking activities. To enable the value streams to produce securely at size and pace, you will set up procedures, governance, and tools - you construct the machine to build the machine.
