Key Responsibilities:

  • In-Depth Financial Analysis: Perform comprehensive financial analysis, including variance, trend, and forecasting analyses, to aid strategic decision-making.
  • Market and Competitor Insights: Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer behaviour to identify growth opportunities and areas for optimisation.
  • Financial Modelling: Create and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis for strategic planning.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various teams to evaluate the performance of products, pricing strategies, and promotional efforts.
  • Reporting and Insights: Develop and produce financial reports, and provide data-driven insights and recommendations to senior management.


Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, ACA, ACCA) are advantageous.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience as a Financial Analyst/Data Analyst, with strong skills in financial analysis, modelling, and reporting. Experience in Energy and/or Utilities is advantageous.
  • Analytical Abilities: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of interpreting complex data and providing actionable insights.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with Power BI/DAX, Power Query, SQL & financial software.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
