Our client is an exciting company that seeks to revolutionise connectivity for AI, HPC and other data centre systems. We seek a Senior IT Manager to oversee and develop the company’s technology systems and services.
This role will take charge of the company’s cybersecurity, remote access needs and systems. A particular focus will be on physical networking, identity management and resilience.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop, propose and establish IT architecture, policies and procedures such as access, network, backup and restore as appropriate and support on systems implementation and management.
- Establish and process software updates for systems, configure network security and participate in all hardware and software evaluations.
- Maintain disaster recovery plan and ensure its relevance.
- Plan, direct, and oversee the company’s IT requirements.
- Overseeing and implementing company cybersecurity processes
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and 3rd party support
- Responsible for upkeep and replenishment of company IT equipment
- Manage system onboarding and offboarding process for all new starters/leavers, consultants
- Provide ad-hoc first-line support to company stakeholders.
- Train non-technical audiences on procedures and policies to ensure IT and IP security.
Required Qualifications and skills
- Experience in scaling IT systems as a company grows (esp. experience in start-up post-raise growth) and have previously rolled out SSO system.
- Strong networking skills; building-scale network planning and management
- The ability to manage the security and resilience of the business, balancing robust design and defence in depth against the need for a low-friction user experience.
- Certification and experience in Windows client infrastructure & M365-based active directory, RedHat Linux and various other applications.
- 7 years of relevant experience in managing IT environments and overseeing staff
Desired Qualifications and skills
- Linux client and server experience, particularly Debian-derived OS
- Experience of containerisation (Docker, K8S) and cloud deployment
- Familiarity with commonly used Engineering SaaS systems (GitHub, Atlassian)
- Experience rolling out simple ERP/MRP systems; or experience operating in a manufacturing environment
- Experience of operating within compliance and security frameworks (ISO27001, SOX etc.)
- Experience working with domain hosting, DNS and site management.
