If yes, then the Informatics service is looking for a full time positive and enthusiastic Senior ICT Support Officer to join their team. If successful, you will play a key role assisting clinical and operational staff in their use of IT within the ePMA project, supporting them to deliver safe, effective healthcare for patients.

For this role you will be customer focused with excellent customer service skills and have an innate desire to help others.

You will have a sound knowledge of technology, be an adept problem solver, with a high attention to detail and a logical and methodical approach to work.

You'll be equally confident communicating with end-users, other ICT staff at all levels and be able to prioritise ICT issues effectively and efficiently.

Main duties of the job

Our ideal candidates will have experience with various training methods, including on-the-job coaching, mentorship programs and virtual learning, possessing MS Office proficiency and advanced organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.

If successful you will have responsibility for the supervision of an operational service that provides support for a range of ICT System Solutions, specifically ePMA.

The post requires working from our Abergele Hospital site to the needs of the service, individual working arrangements can be agreed with the successful candidate. Please contact to discuss individual requirements.

Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing work demands and circumstances are essential for this role, as evening and weekend working may be required.

Qualifications and Knowledge

Essential
  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of Continual Professional Development
  • Possesses a good working knowledge of multiple Systems and hardware platforms gained by experience and training.
  • Demonstrates a good knowledge of NHS Wales and LHB information and communications technology standards and requirements.
  • Hold a relevant training qualification - Level 3 Award in Education and Training (Previously known as PTTLS - Preparing to Teach in the Life Long Learning Sector)
Desirable
  • Recognised professional qualification in an electronic engineering/computing field such as MCSE MCSP (Microsoft Certification) ITIL Foundation

  • Knowledge of both local and national NHS ICT developments and strategies.
