Automation Test Lead

Do you want a blank canvas to build out test automation for one of the UK’s leading retailers?

You’ll be joining an IT department implementing testing for the first time thus giving you the autonomy to implement test automation frameworks and best practice across various IT systems and applications.

You’ll work closely with the Test Manager to define automation test strategy, select appropriate tooling, and hands on implement test automation across the business. You’ll manage all automation test activities for key IT projects, maintain test documentation, design and execute test cases, implement new testing initiatives, and evaluate the overall performance of the automation test function.

This role really is greenfield where you can come in and implement what you see fit to create the entire test automation landscape from scratch. 

We are looking for someone who has been in/gone into an organisation without test automation, reviewed the technology environment, planned and desgned a strategy, then built out test automation themselves. 

The role is based in Solihull, 1 day a week in the office (4 from home).

SALARY: up to £60 000 depending on experience

Ideally you will have:

• Experience of implementing test automation within a business from scratch.
• Proficient in use of test tools e.g. JIRA.
• Working experience of generating and executing functional, non-functional and regression tests.
