Project Support Officer

Job summary

To offer project support to the Training Hub team, this includes confidently running workstreams & projects independently and being comfortable presenting reports and updates to stakeholders and wider members of the Cheshire and Merseyside team. You will represent Liverpool Training Hub at various events/conferences and need the skills to communicate effectively with stakeholders, present our current offers and encourage engagement. The Training Hub workload is varied and is continuously changing therefore, you need to be willing to adapt and learn new things and understand our objectives to reach our KPIs. An important part of the role will focus on educational audits and ensuring that all processes are followed in a timely manner, attending MDT and desktop reviews with the Training Hub team, this will include the yearly reviews and focusing on the quality element. Cheshire and Merseyside Training Hub is dedicated to ensuring we understand our current workforce and promoting future careers therefore, as a team we manage all student placements and attend career events.

This Role will be based across Various sites Princes Park and also Central Liverpool.

Main duties of the job

General admin support

Project support- Supporting various projects & workstreams

Managing the Unified Learning Audits

Student placement management- This includes stakeholder engagement with Practices, ICB, PCN and HEIs as well as placement allocation

Adhoc Training Hub core work

Job responsibilities

The Cheshire and Merseyside Primary Care Academy (Training Hub) is a collaborative of five locality training hubs that support the education and training needs of the multi-disciplinary primary care team. The overarching objective for the training hubs is to support with the growth and development of the primary care workforce within Cheshire and Merseyside. Our focus areas include:

  • Understanding workforce needs
  • Promoting careers and engagement
  • Supporting education and development
  • Identifying workforce requirements for service delivery
  • Supporting new roles in General Practice
  • We can support in areas such as mentorship, clinical supervision, student placements and establishing career pathways in all parts of the system.

Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Post:

Perform administration and organisation of LTH (Locality Training Hub) work on a day-to-day basis inc. manage shared mailbox etc.

Organisation of meetings and events, associated with projects and core work

Attend and contribute to meetings where appropriate.

Be responsible for supporting several identified projects working to PRINCE Project Management standards

Complete remittances + invoicing support.

Build and maintain strong positive relationships with all teams/stakeholders

Support student placements across the LCR- Scoping capacity, onboarding of practices and placement reporting system

Support the team with the audit of practice placement areas (ULEs)

Support the Liverpool Training Hub Manger in organising, networking and contributing to educational workshops, careers fairs etc.

Supporting apprenticeships and work experience across the locality.

To co-ordinate the promotion of educational opportunities to PCNs and Practices in conjunction with placement leads

Experience

Essential
  • Understanding and experience of working in administration or similar role in Primary Care or educational settings.
  • Experience of successfully developing and implementing projects including establishing working relationships
  • Demonstrate ability to plan short, medium and long-term time projects, adjusting plans and resource requirements accordingly
  • Experience of Project management,
  • Experience of overseeing multiple work-streams
Desirable
  • Experience of workforce planning, forecasting and development
  • Experience of identifying and interpreting governmental policy
  • Experience of implementing and/or working with systems for recording and monitoring operational and strategic performance
