Salary: £42,500

I am looking for a 2nd/3rd Line Network Engineer to work in my clients CAS (cyber access service). My client is a leading IT systems integrator operating within the UK defence sector, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a diverse team of engineers managing a geographically diverse IPS/IDS, SSL decryption and FPC and providing continuity between the 3rd line team and the 24/7 support team.

This role is Mon - Fri, normal office hours.

Your transferable skills and experience:

• A good breadth of technical skills across an enterprise environment, ideally being able to demonstrate skills in configuration and management of network probes, taps and FPC devices.
• Self-motivation. Be able to identify improvements for process and best practice, with a drive for continuous improvement alongside routine tasks such as license management.
• Have the ability to work well within a team and develop a positive working relationship with other resolver teams throughout the organisation.
• Have good and clear communications when interacting with peers, management, other resolver teams, and customers.
• Experience using Cisco and/or Gigamon.
