Cyber Security apprentice

You will be part of the Cyber security team, who are responsible for keeping Computacenter and our customers secure by reducing the risk of cyber-attacks, security incidents & data breaches. You will have the opportunity to work within a variety of teams such as Cyber Threat Intelligence, Security Operations and Cyber Risk Management.

Role

You will build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders whilst maintaining open and constructive working relationships with a high degree of commitment. The successful apprentice will seek to identify better ways to deliver improvement and simplify how activities are undertaken.

Throughout the rotation of the programme, you will also.

  • Gain an understanding each team’s role within the business and the importance of it across Computacenter
  • Support with work to help meet individual and team targets
  • Assist with any required reporting activities
  • Assist the operation of the end-to-end Information Security Risk Management process for Computacenter
  • Schedule and conduct risk assessments across different systems to validate the implementation of security controls
  • Support with promoting the information security reasonings across Computacenter

Training

  • For the duration of your programme, you will be studying towards a Cyber Security Technologist Level 4 qualification
  • Throughout your apprenticeship, you will spend about 80% of your time in work and 20% studying towards your qualification.
  • You will join block residential workshops, have a 1-2-1 mentor for support and have time to undertake your studies in working time
  • There is no guarantee of a permanent role at the end of your programme
  • However, hardwork and dedication will give you a strong chance. Getting your foot on the ladder of a global company that could take your career in lots of potential directions
