Infrastructure Specialist

Our client, a global aviation brand, is looking for an Infrastructure SME to join them on a contract basis.

You will be required to work 2 days a week in their Hounslow office and 3 from home.

Are you an expert in server infrastructure looking for an exciting new challenge? We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as an Infrastructure Subject Matter Expert. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and supporting the development of innovative and sustainable business solutions that meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Map and understand our server estate (on-premises and colo)
• Oversee Datacentre architecture, operations, and security
• Participate in on-call incident escalations and root cause analysis
• Collaborate with managed service partners and engineers
• Communicate infrastructure solutions to both technical and non-technical employees
• Work closely with Cloud teams to ensure a secure strategy for cloud migrations
• Lead assignments and influence stakeholders to define and deliver change roadmaps

Qualifications:

• Degree level education or equivalent experience
• Technical qualifications/certifications within area(s) of expertise
• Extensive experience in system administration of Windows & Linux Servers
• Expertise in cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, VMware, and Hyper-V virtualization technologies
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, agile, and collaborative environment
