About the Role:
As the Strategy Manager - Data, your primary focus will be to enable the leadership team to make key commercial decisions through your ability to analyze and interpret large datasets, identify trends, and provide data-driven insights. You will also support initiatives to improve operational effectiveness across the segment. Additionally, you will play a key role in leading cross-functional projects, collaborating with senior leaders, and presenting actionable insights to C-level executives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze data, build models, and generate insights for commercial decision-making purposes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Engineering, and Operations, to develop business cases with a primary focus on LDG.
- Gather and analyze market data to develop aviation market models to inform strategic recommendations.
- Develop and deliver high-level presentations to C-level executives, clearly communicating data-driven insights and recommendations that align with the company's strategic goals.
- Support Operational Effectiveness improvement measures, e.g., Make vs Buy decisions, MRO Cost-Down initiatives, Digitalisation/Digitisation initiatives.
- Lead and manage strategic projects from inception to completion against scope, time, and budget.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to align data analysis initiatives against company targets.
- Stay current on industry trends, particularly in the aviation and MRO sectors, and use this knowledge to shape the company's strategy.
- Foster a collaborative and flexible work environment valued for innovation, communication, and teamwork.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA or Master's in Data Analytics) are a plus.
Experience and Knowledge:
- Minimum of 3 years in a data science or data analysis role, with a strong preference for experience within the aviation, manufacturing, or MRO industry.
- Advanced knowledge of data analysis tools, programming languages (e.g., Python), and data visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Appreciation of data governance across cloud computing (MS Azure, MS Synapse) and databases (SQL).
- Excellent financial and commercial acumen.
- Familiarity with aviation operations, preferably within an MRO environment.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively present complex data insights at C-level.
- Advanced skills in MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with Project Management tools.
- Professional-level English language skills are essential, with fluency in a second language (preferably German) considered a strong advantage.
- Strong project management experience with a willingness to take ownership of strategic initiatives and lead teams across a matrix organization.
