IT Support Technician

An award-winning family business is looking for an enthusiastic IT Support Technician to join their experienced team based in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. Working in a friendly, supportive environment to provide 1st and 2nd support a large number of end users, you will earn up to £28,000, plus benefits. This role is easily accessible from Scarborough, Filey, Bridlington, Malton and the surrounding area. You will need access to your own transport due to the nature of this role, as some travel to other sites may be required.

As IT Support Technician, you will act as the first point of contact for IT issues in the business, and your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting operational technology across the business, including stock systems and software
• Troubleshooting and resolving a range of IT issues quickly and efficiently, logging appropriately
• Provide an excellent level of customer service, and build and maintain relationships across the business 
• Assist in development, deployment, training and documentation of IT software
• IT asset management
• Testing of in-house software development
• Support and assist the IT department with developing and upgrading in-house software

 

To be successful in the role of IT Support Technician, you will have the following skills and experience:

• A strong focus on customer service, and excellent communication skills
• A proactive mindset, and effective problem-solving skills
• A passion for IT and technology, with some software development skills would be beneficial 
• Strong attention to detail, and a methodical approach to solving problems
• Experience in a similar role is essential
