React.js Developer

React.js Developer – 6 Month Contract – Hybrid (Sheffield) – Outside IR35

Chapman Tate Associates are recruiting for a skilled React.js Developer to join our clients in-house development team to build a new product. As a React.js Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing user interface components for their new reporting solution. If you are passionate about creating efficient, responsive web experiences, this role is for you! This is a hybrid role, with up to two days per week in their offices near Sheffield.

Responsibilities

As a React.js Contract Developer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaboration: Meeting with the development team to discuss user interface ideas and application requirements.
  • Design and Development: Reviewing application requirements and interface designs, identifying web-based user interactions, and developing and implementing highly responsive user interface components using React concepts.
  • Coding and Troubleshooting: Writing application interface code using JavaScript following React.js workflows, troubleshooting interface software, and debugging application code.
  • Front-End Architecture: Developing and implementing front-end architecture to support user interface concepts.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitoring and improving front-end performance.
  • Documentation: Documenting application changes and developing updates.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a React.js Developer.
  • In-depth knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript, CSS, HTML.
  • Good understanding of DOM manipulation and Virtual DOM.
  • Familiarity with React tools, including React.js, Vite, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux.
  • Experience with user interface design.
  • Knowledge of performance testing frameworks, such as Mocha and Jest.
  • Proficiency in browser-based debugging and performance testing software.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a willingness to help upskill our in-house team.

Nice to Haves

  • Any backend experience, primarily ASP.NET Core.
  • Understanding of Microservice architecture.
  • Docker management (docker build and docker-compose) and deployment.
  • Azure PaaS usage and management.
  • Familiarity with other JS/common libraries such as Angular, RXJS, SwaggerGen.
