PMO Programme Manager

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within City Health Care Partnership's (CHCP) Project Management Office (PMO), for a Programme Manager Role.

The PMO Programme Manager will work as part of a busy and dynamic PMO providing a range of programme management advice, support and practical assistance on the development of a wide range of programmes, business opportunities and service developments across the CHCP group.

Main duties of the job

This role requires an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced individual who can support a wide variety of fast paced, complex programme mobilisations, service improvements and business development opportunities.

The ideal candidate will be friendly, flexible, innovative and possess a pro-active "can-do" approach in order to be able to manage a varied and demanding workload.

In addition, you will need to possess excellent communication skills to allow successful, collaborative working with other colleagues and key stakeholders.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential
  • Degree in a relevant subject, equivalent qualification or equivalent level of experience
  • PRINCE2/ MSP or equivalent project management qualification ie proven background in digital project delivery
  • Significant specialist/in-depth training in relevant courses e.g. Managing Successful Programmes/Agile/Change Management/Service Transformation/Digital Transformation
  • Postgraduate study/research and/or equivalent experience in relevant field
  • Specialist knowledge of service transformation or change management within the health and care sector

Knowledge

Essential
  • Highly experienced in Programme Management within health and service management and development of resource plans.
  • Understanding of policy and the drivers of policy change within the health and social care sector
  • Proven ability to analyse complex data, develop and present cost/ benefit/ risk appraisals.
  • Extensive knowledge and practical experience of Programme and Project Management Principles
  • Knowledge of Information Governance and associated data security legislation/policies/guidance within the health and care sector
Desirable
  • Specialist knowledge of service transformation from within a Health and Care setting.

Experience

Essential
  • Demonstrable, practical experience of delivering Programme(s) within the health and care sector.
  • Experience of Programme Management tools, techniques and effective risk and issue management
  • Demonstrable experience of highly developed communications and relationship management skills to support service re-design and digital transformation.
  • Demonstrable experience of working with external stakeholders (e.g. commissioners, contractors, and suppliers)
  • Previous experience of data mapping and migration across digital systems/ software.
  • Ability to evaluate and interpret a range of complex information sources quickly, generating insight and taking an evidence-based approach to decision making.
  • Previous experience of the development and implementation of clinical health and care systems/ software.
  • Previous experience of working in a leadership role and line managing staff
  • Previous experience of carrying out professional supervision and development reviews
  • Experience of working with emerging technologies such as Robotic Process Automation and Artificial Intelligence within the health and care sector
