SC Cleared Network Engineer

We are seeking a Junior Network Engineer on contract to work for a Leading Investment Bank based in London to play a key role in Supporting, implementing, operating, and optimizing our network infrastructure. You will have a strong foundation in engineering and operations principles, with a focus on Arista, F5, and AIX environments. This role offers a blend of engineering and operational tasks, with the opportunity to not only maintain the current network but also drive improvements and implement new technologies.

Responsibilities:

Support and implement network upgrades and new service deployments.

• Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize Arista, F5, and Cisco network devices.
• Manage network operations, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Develop and maintain network documentation and standards.
• Participate in change review and approval processes.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure network alignment with business needs.
• Leverage AIX expertise to support network infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• 2 to 5 years of experience in network engineering.
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and operating enterprise networks.
• Good knowledge of Arista EOS, F5 BIG-IP, and Networks Firewalls.
• Strong Knowledge with AIX administration.
• An understanding of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.)
