Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, administer, and maintain network and security platforms, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and cryptography solutions.
  • Perform diagnostics and analysis on Cisco-based network and security technologies to ensure maximum system reliability and security.
  • Monitor network traffic to optimise performance and efficiency.
  • Implement and manage remote access and VPN solutions.
  • Oversee PKI distribution and manage certificate issuance and revocation.
  • Recommend and implement network and security enhancements.
  • Develop technical specifications, runbooks, design documents, and rollout/test plans.
  • Provide BAU support for network and security-related incidents and tickets.
  • Contribute to IT policy and process development following industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with IT professionals including Cyber Security Analysts, Infrastructure Engineers, IT Support, and Software Developers to integrate security into new systems and applications.
  • Ensure compliance with strict change control processes.
  • Work with third parties to maximise system potential and address issues.
  • Create both technical and non-technical documentation.
  • Define and maintain security policies and procedures.
  • Identify threats and vulnerabilities, and propose/implement mitigation solutions.
  • Provide occasional on-site support at various locations within and outside the UK.
  • Uphold company values in all aspects of your work.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • 2+ years of Cisco network support experience.
  • Experience with multisite L2 & L3 network support.
  • In-depth knowledge of the TCP/IP suite.
  • Hands-on experience in configuring and maintaining Cisco hardware and software.
  • Administration and configuration experience with firewalls.
  • Understanding of network segmentation and access control.
  • Proficiency in managing site-to-site and endpoint VPNs.
  • Experience with enterprise wireless solutions.
  • Familiarity with RADIUS/TACACS.
  • Experience implementing and supporting routing solutions (BGP, STATIC).
  • Exposure to Cisco Meraki and Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong second/third line BAU network support skills.
  • Experience with network monitoring solutions.
  • Competence in technical and non-technical documentation (Visio, MS Office).
  • A full UK driving licence.
