Job Title: Linux Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Stanford-le-Hope
Salary: Up to £55,000 DOE

Cooper Lomaz is excited to have partnered with a global business in the search for an experienced Systems Engineer. This role will see you join the business as they continue to grow and develop their IT infrastructure. You will play an active part in ongoing and future projects.

Role Overview:
This role will report to the Infrastructure Manager and form part of a team of five. You will be supporting the in-house system across Infrastructure and Storage. The business operates 24/7, so it is business-critical that the IT infrastructure and systems are continuously available, maintained, and upgraded.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide support for the business's Linux Infrastructure and Systems
• Ensure the continuous availability of the infrastructure and systems
• Assist with the maintenance of the company's data centre
• Maximise the use of hardware through virtualisation
• Manage the SAN storage, its usage, and backups
• Provide 1st - 3rd line support relating to Infrastructure, and act as an escalation point for the service desk

Required Skills:

• Experience with Linux is essential for this role, including knowledge of Ubuntu, Debian, RedHat, and CentOS
• Proven background in a Linux Enterprise environment
• Knowledge of automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Puppet
• Proficiency in PowerShell or similar scripting languages is essential
• Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
• Track record of working with SAN Storage
• Experience with Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Firewalls, and SCCM

Salary & Location:

• This is a full-time permanent position
• The office is based in Stanford-le-Hope
• Hybrid working is available
• An on-call rota is in effect and will form part of the role with additional compensation
• Salary is up to £55,000 DOE

Please note, candidates within a commutable distance will only be considered. The role is available on a hybird basis, with expectations to be onsite 3 days per week.
