Remote MSK Triage Physiotherapist

Homebased with occasional attendance in either Bupa Place (Salford Quays, M50 3SP) or alternative local Bupa Centre as required.

Permanent: Full Time & Part Time roles available

Salary: £43,000 full time equivalent

Flexible shift pattern based on 37.5 hour working week, minimum working hours of 15 hours per week, also offer evening and weekend shifts

Successful candidate may be required to attend a Bupa Centre for induction

The service we provide operates between 8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday. Flexible evening and weekend shifts available to suit. You would be expected to work one late shift per week (12-8pm) and one Saturday in every 6 weeks and one Sunday per month. Main duties of the job

As a Remote MSK Triage Physiotherapist, youll be eager to continue learning and building skills while working with talented colleagues

This is a remote physiotherapy consultation service available for Bupa Insurance Members, Occupational Health and Corporate Customers. The service runs alongside other providers to ensure fast access to triage where no other GP referral has been made

The service serves two purposes; to provide support and information to enable individuals to self-manage their musculoskeletal condition and where necessary, facilitate onward referral to the appropriate recognised clinicians or services

Youll help us make health happen by:

  • Delivering excellent standards of telephone assessment via video and audio capabilities
  • Providing diagnosis, prescription of self-management techniques and onward referral within the services
  • Monitoring and follow up complex cases and red flag cases, escalate where required and appropriate to the Clinical Lead
  • Managing customer pathways, delivering the most appropriate clinical outcomes at the best cost for the customer

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • Strong experience equivalent to a band 6 or 7 physiotherapist in an MSK setting alongside a strong history of 1-1 clinical delivery
  • Be up-to-date with own clinical practice and demonstrate an ability to maintain clinical competence
  • Diploma or Degree or equivalent and accredited with the HCPC/CSP
  • Ability to evaluate, plan and prioritise workload within demanding timescales

Job Purpose:

To provide a comprehensive and progressive therapeutic approach to the virtual assessment and rehabilitation of all musculoskeletal conditions in accordance with Bupa clinical policies and procedures. To maintain outstanding clinical, professional and customer service standards.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

Clinical Quality and Delivery

Deliver best practice care to a wide variety of customers, following Bupa clinical governance, MSK care pathways and all necessary professional codes of conduct. Best practice represents the most modern, professional, and appropriate approach to the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions.

Ensure you are familiar with the Quality and MSK drives to enable you to always adhere to these policies.

Actively prepare for and engage in all clinical review processes (including audits), and act on any feedback given.

Work within a multidisciplinary MSK and well-being support services team, cultivating professional relationships and helping to develop and enhance the team approach.

Work within your scope of practice and escalate to your clinical lead where appropriate.

Comply with Quality Audits/ISO requirements.

Comply with clinical/critical incidence reporting, ensuring details are logged immediately.

Attend continued education lectures and seminars and be responsible for maintaining your own high levels of knowledge and continuing professional development as outlined by the HCPC.

Customer

Deliver outstanding professional and customer service standards and proactively contribute ideas to your PhysioLine Team Leader for continuous improvement

Promote Bupa positively and proactively to employees, corporate clients and customers, developing effective working relationships with clients and the wider on-site team

Financial

Understand Bupa and MSK financial targets and proactively offer strategies and support to achieve these.

Operational

Deliver operational SLAs and other performance metrics.

Ensure completion of all compulsory regulatory training on time.

Other

Attend MSK Therapy team meetings, contributing to the agenda and overall discussion.

Raise the profile of other Bupa service lines and especially our Bupa centres when signposting to face to face services.

Work with the Health Content team to promote MSK related content.

Log outcomes measures and other relevant management information as requested.

Ensure you fully understand and comply with all clinical and performance policies, procedures and protocols issued by Bupa.

Qualifications, Training & Experience:

Practising member of the HCPC

Strong experience as Band 6 or 7 physiotherapist in musculoskeletal medicine

Commitment to and ownership of continual professional development.

Ability to demonstrate an awareness of the multidisciplinary approach to therapy

Excellent organisation and time management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong problem-solving capability

MSK Triage experience desirable

IT proficient
