Information Communication Technology Apprenticeship

The role of the IT Support Technician Apprentice will be: • Working as part of an existing experienced team to support a variety of technologies and systems • To learn with the Firm’s assigned experienced IT team • Participate in classes and any workshops that may take place • Gain knowledge, skills and experience throughout the apprenticeship

Role

  • To undertake reactive support, assigned project work and scheduled maintenance
  • Provide telephone and remote first line support
  • Setup, update and fault diagnosis of customer IT systems
  • General network support and troubleshooting
  • Answering customer queries directly on the phone where necessary
  • Maintaining client databases with up-to date solutions
  • Installation of computers and peripheral devices
  • Explaining technical issues in a clear way to non-technical clients
  • Provide a high standard of customer care to clients, ensuring their problems are dealt with efficiently, maintaining contact and keeping clients informed of progress
  • To undertake administrative tasks as assigned
  • To provide a consistent high standard of work
  • To work unsupervised as and when required
  • To undertake any other duties which from time to time may be allocated

Training

  • ICT (Information Communications Technician) Level 3 apprenticeship Standard
  • You will also receive full training and support from the Just IT apprenticeship team to increase your skills
  • Your training will include gaining a Level 3 IT qualification
    Further training details will be made available at a later date

Potential for a permanent role for the right candidate.
