We are looking to recruit an SC Cleared Power BI Consultant on an initial 6 month contract for a leading IT Consultancy. In this role, you will collaborate with the Power BI Business Owner, various business users, delivery managers, and data scientists to lead and support the implementation of a new Power BI enterprise service.
This is a critical role that will help ensure that the new Power BI Premium Capacity is rolled out in a user-friendly manner and that business users are supported throughout the process.
Valid SC Clearance is essential. This is a hybrid role and you will be required to work on site in London 2 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Power BI Business Owner and Product Owner to develop a roadmap for rolling out the enterprise service.
- Test new Power BI cloud services and work with the Technology Team to address any user pain points.
- Support business users with scoping, on-boarding, and delivering their use cases on Power BI Premium Capacity in Azure.
- Lead the development of pipelines that ingest, store, and analyse data, ensuring the accessibility of both data and analysis.
- Create content and develop capabilities to support enterprise-wide adoption of Power BI.
- Troubleshoot issues and provide user support.
Essential Criteria:
- Proficiency in Power BI, Data Transformation (in R or Python), and Databricks.
- Strong understanding of Power BI Azure Cloud architecture.
- A proactive and self-starting attitude.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Interest in data analysis (visualization, transformation, modelling) and using it to address real-world business challenges.
- Knowledge of maintaining data, tools, and processes to generate reproducible analysis and build robust, valuable data solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders across various levels.
- A collaborative and open-minded approach to building partnerships across the organization.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience in change management.
- Ability to teach data analysis and visualization techniques and tools to others.
- Familiarity with Jira & Confluence or similar platforms.
