Are you a skilled Back End Python Engineer looking for an exciting freelance opportunity in London? Develop Recruitment is seeking a talented individual for a 12-month contract with our consultancy client, where you will play a crucial role in enhancing their data infrastructure and back-end systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable back-end systems using Python, focusing on microservices architecture and modern deployment technologies like Kubernetes and AWS.
• Optimize REST API architecture to enhance performance and reliability.
• Design and implement efficient ETL pipelines, ensuring data integrity and availability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative data solutions.
• Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of continuous learning.

Key Requirements:

• Advanced proficiency in Python, with experience in libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and SciPy.
• Strong command of cloud technologies, specifically AWS services (S3, Glue, Lambda, EC2, RDS).
• Solid experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) and data engineering tools (PySpark, Databricks).
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Demonstrated ability to work with version control (Git/GitHub Actions) and CI/CD workflows.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or similar credentials.
• Proven experience in a data engineering or back-end development role, ideally within a consultancy or fast-paced environment.
• A degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
