Main duties of the job

This is a key role within the Digital Portfolio Team at Dorset County Hospital which is to provide project management support across a range of interesting activities within the Critical Care Information System project one of the critical digital projects. The post holder will be required to have a high degree of tenacity in carrying out a wide range of activities to support the Project Manager in delivering their project efficiently and effectively.

The post will require use of a high level of initiative and ability to act independently. This is particularly regarding monitoring project actions and plans to ensure activities are delivered on time by the project team members.

The post-holder will be required to source and interpret information required to support projects including national guidance relating to project deliverables, system supplier policies and contractual agreement as well as internal and external organisational policies or agreements.

Education & Qualifications

Essential
  • PRINCE2 Foundation or equivalent practical experience
Desirable
  • Relevant qualifications or study e.g. Agile, ITIL etc.
  • Studying for degree or equivalent qualifications and/or equivalentpractical experience.

Knowledge & Experience

Essential
  • Experience of working in a project environment
  • Experience of working in the NHS or health sector in a project related capacity.
  • Recent experience of supporting Digital projects
  • Experience of supporting clinical or business change
  • Experience of organising, minuting and tracking actions from meetings
  • Proven team working
Desirable
  • Working knowledge of IT industry
  • Knowledge of NHS clinical systems
  • Experience of process mapping
  • Proven supervisory skills
