Engineering Technician Apprentice
Role
As an Engineering Technician apprentice, you will provide help and assistance to a diverse range of customers on a broad variety of services, taking ownership of customer issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution.
The role involves travelling within a defined territory, onsite at customer locations. A company car will be provided so a full UK driving license is essential.
You will play a key part in supporting the LifeCycle Service Operations team deliver service excellence consistently across the business.
Adaptability, communication and listening skills are essential in an environment where customers’ expectations are constantly evolving.
You will be trained in how to use internal systems and given the opportunity to learn customer service and technical skills which can be used within this role and in future positions.
Over the course of the apprenticeship, you will study subjects such as Process Level, Temperature, Flow, Pressure, Coriolis, and Meter Calibrations.
You will be enrolled onto a Level 3 Maintenance & Operations Engineering Technician apprenticeship and fully supported along the journey:
- Your line manager and mentor will give you help and guidance throughout your apprenticeship programme
- Your Operational colleagues, who most of your daily interactions will be with will provide support and knowledge
- You will be assigned a buddy
- Human Resources , will support the development of your career with Emerson
This apprenticeship is delivered through a combination of Work Based Assessment and day/block release. The programme will culminate in an End Point Assessment, where all the skills and knowledge gained on the apprenticeship will be formally tested.
This standard meets the professional standards of the Engineering Council for registration as Engineering Technician (Eng Tech) by an appropriate Professional Engineering Institution.
