As part of the implementation we are looking for we are looking for exceptional people to join our expanding ESNEFT Laboratory IT Team.

As a Lab IT Clinical Applications Analyst you will support and develop the Pathology IT systems within ESNEFT. You will be part of the Laboratory IT team to providing day to day support of Pathology IT systems and supporting key Pathology IT projects including the LIMS implementation and EPR projects.

You will be based at an ESNEFT site in either Ipswich or Colchester and will be expected to travel to all Trust sites as and when required. Depending on the project you may be required to attend designated locations on regular days to work alongside the supplier and other team's members. You will be required to participate in relevant training and achieve certification/competence.

Main duties of the job

  • You will be responsible for the maintenance and support of Clinical applications and associated documentation.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of appropriate policies and strategies to ensure the effective use of the designated system(s) for which you are responsible.
  • You will provide advice and guidance on specific issues including: system usage, proposed improvements, training, & interfaces to other Trust systems.
  • You will provide other ICT Teams with advice and guidance on the usage of the designated system(s) for which you are responsible including proof-reading and verifying training.
  • You willrespond to and resolve support calls raised on the ICT Service Desk.
  • Share the responsibility to enhance the Clinical Applications with Clinical Informatics and Training teams

Qualifications

Essential
  • Educated to a minimum grade C - GCSE or equivalent NVQ Level 2 in a relevant subject or equivalent qualification or significant equivalent previous proven experience
Desirable
  • Equivalent experience in an Enterprise EPR Clinical Analyst post
  • Biomedical Science degree or working towards

Experience

Essential
  • A thorough knowledge and experience of working with clinical applications/Laboratory Information Management systems
  • Exposure to a Healthcare setting or workflow e.g. Outpatients, Medical Records, Emergency department
  • Proven experience in a hospital environment of Clinical Applications as an analyst or End User e.g.Lorenzo, Cerner, Epic CareFlow, Evolve, ICE, SystmOne, LabCentre,Apex, Winpath
Desirable
  • Patient Administration Application Management experience
  • Epic Clinical Analyst or Trainer
  • LIMS System Administration experience

Knowledge and Skills

Essential
  • A clear understanding of hospital operational and/or clinical processes
  • Critical Analysis Skills
  • Good communication skills written/verbal
Desirable
  • Understanding of how a LIMS works
