Data Engineer

Eden Brown Synergy is currently working in partnership with a Public Sector Organisation in London which is looking to recruit a Data Engineer on an interim basis for 6 months initially.

Hybrid working.

Experience or working in the UK policing sector and having a valid Warwickshire NPPV3 vetting certificate is advantageous.

About the role:
Data Analytics Platform Project
Stage 1 of the project is to implement data platform infrastructure and connections to
designated data systems.
Stage 2 of the project is to upskill internal staff to create and use data
dashboards from a number of these connected systems to provide dynamic real time
reporting to inform operational and strategic decision-making.

Real or Near time data from the source systems will be modelled in a way to
allow users to self-serve and have the flexibility to drill into the data to gain further
insights. The solution will be an Azure environment solution and capable of operating in
other leading cloud environments.

Requirements and skills
* Previous experience as a data engineer, ideally in policing sector or similar
* Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
* Experience of Architecting and implementing Azure Services e.g. Azure cloud services, Azure storage, IIS, Azure Active Directory (AD), Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Azure Storage, Azure, Blob Storage, Azure VMs, SQL Database, Azure Functions, Azure Service Fabric, Azure Monitor, and Azure Service Bus
* Business Intelligence experience: Power BI, Business Objects, SAP Crystal Reports, SAP Business Objects
* Databases experience : SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, T-SQL, Oracle, PL SQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Power BI
* Data engineering certification
