Role purpose / summary
As an experienced Cloud Engineer your expertise will be utilised to drive the future of our cloud security software. You will play a key role in expanding our product roadmap, automating escalations and remediations, and offering insight into potential threats along with their mitigations. You'll also be involved in taking the knowledge you have and gain from our own CI/CD and Devops processes and apply them practically to contribute to and solve real world problems with dynamic business units and functions.
Key Skills/ requirements
Primary Responsibilities
- Drive cloud infrastructure enhancements in line with agreed budget and strategy.
- Work alongside engineers to contribute to the design and delivery of cloud services.
- Support stakeholders in leveraging and adopting the latest cloud native application architectures.
- Ensure all architecture and cloud infrastructure accommodates the latest security and software lifecycle patterns.
Technical Skills & Competencies
- Experience working in cloud environments (Azure or AWS preferred)
- Experience in translating HLD, LLD into AWZ Landing Zone build requirements.
- Experience in developing Cloudformation template for deployment of infrastructure in AWS Cloud
- Proficiency in scripting languages, Powershell/Bash Shell and Python/Ruby/JAVA/.NET
- Experience in carrying out automation in an operational environment using Chef
- Experience in integrating ElasticSearch with Application
- Experience with Windows as well as Red Hat Linux Operating System
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- A basic understanding of cloud security best practices, Forensics, threat modelling, and offensive techniques.
- Expert understanding of and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Certifications are a plus but not required (Azure AZ900, Google Associate Cloud Sec Engineer, AWS Cloud Practitioner, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer)
- Familiarity with SIEM tools and Security Controls and Tooling
Desirable:
- Previous experience in the financial sector
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a related discipline
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
- ISO27001
