My client are seeking an experienced 3rd Line Engineer to join their dedicated technical support and project implementation teams. This is a dual role where you will divide your time evenly between providing expert-level IT support and driving process improvements through projects and automation initiatives.
3rd Level IT Support (50%):
- Act as the primary escalation point for resolving highly complex technical issues across various platforms
- Manage high-priority support tickets, ensuring timely resolution through in-depth troubleshooting and analysis
- Provide expertise as a key member of incident response teams, focused on delivering rapid solutions
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior support staff members
Projects (50%):
- Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency through process improvements and automation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on planning and executing technology upgrade projects
- Contribute to developing and maintaining comprehensive internal knowledge base documentation
- Suggest and implement innovative ideas to streamline workflows and optimize service delivery
Technical Expertise Required:
- Extensive hands-on experience with Azure and Microsoft 365 configuration, administration, and troubleshooting
- Proven expertise in virtualisation technologies and Windows Server management
- Proficiency in configuring and managing network infrastructure (firewalls, routers, switches, Active Directory)
- Skilled in Microsoft Windows deployment and administration, with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities
- Keen interest in continuously expanding technical knowledge and staying updated with industry trends
