Product Designer | Lincoln | Office Based | £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

You will be a talented, office-based Product Designer with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional products. You will have a strong understanding of product development processes, from ideation to commercialisation, and be proficient in using CAD software such as SolidWorks. Knowledge of metals and finishing processes would be beneficial.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of product development processes, from ideation to commercialization.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and cost optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with market research techniques and consumer behaviour in the Indian market.
  • Strong business acumen and market awareness, with the ability to translate customer needs into product requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on attention to detail.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance, product testing, and product optimization.
  • Familiarity with user-centred design principles.
  • Understanding of metals and finishing processes.
  • Proficiency in using CAD software such as SolidWorks

What will your role look like?

Objectives of This Role:

  • Generate creative and innovative ideas and concepts for new cabinet or kitchen hardware products
  • Create prototypes and conduct testing to validate product design and functionality
  • Collaborate with purchasing & marketing to ensure successful product development and timely launch
  • Monitor product development timelines
  • Manage product documentation, including technical specifications and other marketing collaterals

Your Tasks:

  • Define product specifications, including design, features, and materials
  • Coordinate prototype development, testing, and validation, collecting and analysing data to inform product refinements
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in product development methods to enhance product offerings
