SAP Payroll Consultant with Council Experience
We at Fusion Practices are seeking a highly skilled SAP Payroll Consultant with extensive experience working within council environments to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of SAP Payroll processes, configuration, and implementation, as well as a strong understanding of local government payroll requirements. This role requires excellent problem-solving abilities, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation and configuration of SAP Payroll solutions tailored to council requirements.
- Design and configure payroll schemas, rules, and related components to ensure accurate payroll processing.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and council-specific policies.
- Manage end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate payroll runs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve payroll-related issues, providing expert support to the council's HR and payroll teams.
- Work closely with council HR, finance, and IT departments to gather requirements and provide solutions.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions for end-users to ensure effective use of SAP Payroll systems
- Lead the testing and deployment of SAP Payroll system upgrades and new functionalities
- Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for management, highlighting key payroll metrics and compliance status.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications in SAP Payroll are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an SAP Payroll Consultant, with at least 2 years of experience in a council or local government environment.
- Proven track record of successful SAP Payroll implementations and configurations.
- Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and council-specific payroll processes.
- Proficiency in SAP Payroll, including schema and rule configuration.
- Experience with SAP HR modules and integration with other SAP systems.
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori and SAP SuccessFactors is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
