Data Technician Apprentice
As a Data Technician Apprentice, you’ll assist with data management and analysis, focusing on collecting, processing, and maintaining accurate data. Collaborate with teams to ensure data integrity, provide insights, and support decision-making processes.
Role
Main duties:
Data analysis and modelling:
- Perform data cleaning to ensure data quality and integrity before analysis and modelling.
- Ensure data models are accurate, efficient, and meet organisational needs.
- Collaborate with team members to understand data requirements and implement appropriate data models.
Data visualisation:
- Create and maintain data visualisations to support business decision-making.
- Use various data visualisation techniques to present data clearly and understandably.
- Ensure visualisations are accurate, relevant, and tailored to the audience’s needs.
Correlation analysis:
- Identify and analyse correlations within datasets to uncover meaningful insights.
- Understand the benefits of identifying correlations to improve data-driven decisions.
- Communicate findings from correlation analysis to relevant stakeholders.
Efficient data presentation:
- Develop and implement efficient data presentation methods.
- Use best practices in data presentation to enhance understanding and usability.
Timely data reporting:
- Prepare and deliver data reports in a timely manner.
- Work with team members to ensure data is collected, processed, and reported efficiently.
Key result areas:
- An understanding of data collection, data cleaning and data modelling.
- An understanding of data visualisation techniques.
- Understanding the concept of identifying correlations and its benefits.
- Understanding efficient data presenting concepts.
- Presenting concise and accurate data in a timely manner.
