We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our expanding service desk team in Hove. The successful candidate will become a crucial member of our service desk, with opportunities for career advancement.

The Role:

So, what will you be doing as a 2nd Line IT Support Technician?

  • Manage and oversee multiple tickets and projects.
  • Provide technical support within the team and handle 2nd line tickets and projects.
  • Maintain and update IT documentation.
  • Meet and exceed SLAs.
  • Communicate effectively with both customers and staff.
  • Report directly to and collaborate closely with the senior management team.
  • Primarily an office-based role with some onsite work as required.
  • Occasional opportunities for overtime available.

2nd Line IT Support Technician

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proven experience managing multiple tickets and incoming requests in a high-pressure environment.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with strong engagement abilities.
  • Experience in 2nd Line Service Desk support.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory, Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, and NPS.
  • Knowledge of network technologies such as firewalls, switches, routers, and Wi-Fi.
  • Experience with cloud solutions, particularly Microsoft Office 365 and Azure.
  • Familiarity with storage solutions like NAS and SharePoint.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Competence in Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools.
  • Proficiency in Professional Services Automation (PSA) management.
  • Experience with document management systems is preferred.
