THE ROLE

The Email Production assistant supports the Digital Customer Team with the production and deployment of our marketing emails.

They will produce Burberry's global multi-language marketing emails from email set-up, testing, target audience creation to the successful and efficient delivery and deployment of emails in our ESP.

They will play a key role in the delivery of our global email campaigns and will work closely with the other team members in creating innovative and high-quality email campaigns that engage with the subscribers in order to fulfil our brand and commercial objectives.

CANDIDATES

Candidates need to demonstrate a 'can do' attitude, be able to hit the ground running and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment, whilst work across multiple emails.

Working on a broad range of emails from runway shows, new season launches and product stories to highly personalised emails, they must be flexible, quick to adapt, have a high attention to detail, and be comfortable with working on a range of tasks.

Good communication skills, and an open and collaborative attitude are needed as they will work closely with Merchandising, Design, Copy and Transcreation, and the Regional teams in order deliver against monthly email marketing plans and KPIs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This role is within the Digital Customer Marketing team, working with the extended Email team to ensure the efficient and punctual progression of the creation of high standard emails from when these are briefed to successful deployment.

  • Set up and populate emails in the Email Creation Tool, following the email marketing brief produced by Digital Customer Marketing team members.

  • Send test emails to Copy and Transcreation, Design and Marketing teams and collate feedback.

  • Liaise with Digital Marketing and Merchandising teams to ensure that emails direct to most relevant and updated landing pages and products being supported have sufficient stock levels.

  • Work with creative designer and email coder for the inclusion of personalisation and animation features in emails.

  • Process rigorous QA process, ensuring all errors are fixed in an efficient manner.

  • Create target audiences using ESP segmentation tools following email briefs.

  • Set-up deployment of emails ensuring correct target audience, email and send time are selected.

  • Ensure correct use and function of the Email tool liaising with IT support team to deliver issue fixes and developed enhancements.

  • Maintain status reports, participate in status meetings and summarize timely deliverable snapshots to ensure email production delivery is aligned to email deployment dates.

  • Immediately identify any issues and delays, notify the appropriate people and work with the team to make any required schedule changes after gauging the impact of the issue.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in similar roles.
  • Must be detail-oriented, deadline driven, and able to multi-task with solid organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience using Email Marketing Service Providers preferable.
  • Self-motivated and enjoys working within a team.
  • Understanding of technology systems and able to communicate with technical team members.
  • Understanding of quality assurance best practices and working knowledge of pre-campaign email testing.
