Junior Front End Developer

Role Overview

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain front-end components of our .NET MVC website.
  • Implement designs using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to enhance website functionality and user experience.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness.
  • Optimize web pages for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Essential Skills

The ideal applicant will possess:

  • Competency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Educational background in Computer Science, software engineering or relevant field
  • Basic understanding of responsive design principles.
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks or libraries (e.g., Bootstrap, jQuery)
  • Any experience with .NET MVC is advantageous but not required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • A portfolio showcasing your work is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of source control systems such as Git.

 

Desirable but not essential

  • Knowledge of Scrum and Sprint methodologies
  • Collaborative with good communication skills
  • Experience with automated build, test and deployment systems
