Remuneration: £45,000 - £52,000 annually pro rata dependent on experience

Hours: Upto Full time (30 - 37.5 hours per week)

(Availability for up to two days of remote working with some travel across North Central London (Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey & Islington)

Main duties of the job

Office Lead (PMO) to join the North Central London (NCL) Training Hub Team. This is a pivotal role for the Training Hub and the successful candidate will support programmes teams to provide and maintain high levels of plans and provide accurate reporting and analysis including project performance, revenue, forecasting, resource utilisation and risks and issues.

As PMO lead, you will be supporting the Programme Director and programme managers including borough programme managers in delivering a broad scope of workforce retention, recruitment, placements, and training projects to Primary Care professionals in North Central London. You will support the North Central London Training Hub to achieve its key objectives and to ensure that all identified programmes and projects, are delivered within funding criteria.

You will need to use your core competencies, including strong reporting skills, presentation skills, great organisational skills, stakeholder facilitation skills, and the ability to work to tight deadlines to make this role succeed.

About us

The North Central London (NCL) Training Hub is a network of multidisciplinary primary care teams, community providers, and social care providers. Training Hubs receive core funding from NHSE but we also have extra commissions from local Authorities.

The NCL Training Hub has been established to enhance training, education, and workforce development with specific focus on enhancing the recruitment of new, and retention of current, staff. The NCL Training Hub has developed innovative educational and workforce initiatives for primary, community and social care.

Job description

Job responsibilities

To manage the Project Management Office (PMO), to provide support to projects and programmes across NCL and to identify spare capacity within the team.

Represent and champion the PMO and ways of working as an enabling function to all managers to ensure best practice serving the organisation.

To formalise and implement best practice in project planning, processes, and procedures across the business to drive continuous improvement and provide advice where required.

To implement and enhance processes, tools, and templates to support governance and adherence to accountability requirements and financial accountabilities.

Oversee finance documents, finance reporting, update documents and spreadsheets, and track incoming and outgoing contracts.

Ensure contract variations are in place with NCL boroughs.

Be the key point of contact and provide administrative support to the Joint Operational Group and Programme Managers meetings, in collaboration with the Executive Lead and Programme Director.

Direct line management and support to PMO team.

Provide project management responsibilities.

Person Specification

Experience

Essential
  • Wide ranging experience of project support including budgets, milestones, and reporting.
  • Working to tight timescales, managing complex diaries, taking minutes, and organising meetings and events/workshops.
  • Experience of Managing direct reports and delegating tasks and responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate experience of co- ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments
Desirable
  • Experience working with the health and social care sectors, knowledge of roles and responsibilities within it.

Qualifications

Essential
  • Educated to at least degree level in a relevant field or equivalent relevant work experience.
Desirable
  • PRINCE2 or equivalent project management qualification
