Information Analyst
Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for an information analyst to join our Analytical Services team at Harrogate & District NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will form part of a small team of information professionals and deliver an information service that supports the requirements of the Trust including routine internal and external reporting (including central returns to NHS England and contract reports to commissioners) and managing an adhoc information service.
The successful candidate will be highly numerate, have experience in the analysis, interpretation and presentation of complex data and be able to engage with clinicians and managers to design and develop information reports to support improvements to service delivery and performance.Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office applications are essential and a knowledge of SQL and business intelligence tools, including Microsoft Power BI, would be an advantage. An understanding of NHS data and experience of extracting data from patient systems for analysis and reporting would also be beneficial.
Main duties of the job
Support the design, production and implementation of comprehensive data and information reporting systems for organisational wide reporting.Help to direct and change perspectives on information collection and analysis across the organisation, promoting the use of good information to inform effective decision-making.
Support the integration and development of core information processes and services required by the Trust's Corporate and Clinical Directorates.
