DSP Research Engineer

IC Resources is seeking a DSP Research Engineer to work on optical high capacity WDM fiber systems for a class-leading research centre in Paris, France. This is an excellent opportunity for any subject matter experts in the field of coherent optical DSP and WDM ( Wavelength-division multiplexing ).

Primary Responsibilities

Collaborating closely with academia and other research centres in the full-cycle development, research, innovation, design, and implementation of DSP algorithms for coherent optical communication

Explore theories, design advanced algorithms, perform analysis, and run simulations.

Deliver DSP algorithms to product line, generate intellectual property and file patents.

Essential experience

PhD in a relevant discipline, and a track record of publications in leading optical & signal processing related journals (JLT, PTL, Opt. Express…) and conferences (OFC, ECOC).

4+ years industry experience or post-doc research in the field of DSP algorithms and optical communication systems

Modulation, equalization, synchronization, FEC (forward error correction)

Python programming

Fluency in English (written and spoken)

Desired experience

Definition, coding, and verification of DSP blocks, RTL coding and/ or ASIC implementation

What’s on offer?

€70-90k DOE
