Web Developer Apprentice
Working as a Web Developer learning how a commercial eCommerce agency operates. Day-to-day, the apprentice will work with our support development team, picking up support tickets, dealing with issues, fixing bugs and maintaining our client’s websites.
Role
- To work with the Web Support team, assisting with tickets and various web maintenance tasks
- Acting as first-line support, dealing with support tickets as they arise
- Web maintenance for our clients’ Websites, from small brochure sites to fully featured ecommerce sites
- Diagnosing reported issues and fixing bugs
- Supporting the Development Team with other web-related tasks
Training
The apprenticeship training is delivered through a combination of workplace learning and regular college attendance. This training will teach you the knowledge, skills and behaviours set out in the Software Developer Level 4 standard. On completion the apprentice will receive Software Developer Level 4 qualification. Functional Skills in Maths and English may also be required depending on current level.
If the apprentice is successful in their role, there may be an opportunity to continue their career and training as a full-time Junior Web Developer with Iconography.
