Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Gloucester (Hybrid Working) 
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (DOE)

Are you an experienced Infrastructure Engineer looking for your next challenge? My client is seeking a talented professional to join it's team in Gloucester. You'll be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and developing our IT infrastructure, ensuring systems run smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure (servers, networks, virtual environments, etc.)
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues
• Support and optimise cloud services, with a focus on Azure and AWS
• Ensure robust security measures are in place across all systems
• Collaborate with the IT team to plan and execute upgrades and migrations
• Automate processes using scripting (PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
• Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in an infrastructure engineering role
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure
• Networking skills (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls)
• Understanding of security best practices
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
