IT Apprentice
Working as part of an experienced team, you will be based at our Crewkerne office supporting our quality assurance team with the day-to-day running of the department involving managing the quality aspects of the business. Opportunities to be involved with other aspects of the business and cross-functional team projects are a regular occurrence.
Role
- Being a point of contact for both national and international technical support requests received by telephone, email or in person.
- Processing user enquiries, from the point of registration to error analysis and solution finding.
- User and client installation and administration.
- Establishing fully documented industry-leading procedures and working practices within the department.
- Contributing towards the security of all systems and reviewing as and when necessary.
Training
The apprenticeship training is delivered through a combination of workplace learning and regular college attendance. This training will teach you the knowledge, skills and behaviours set out in the Information Communications Technician Level 3 standard. On completion the apprentice will receive Information Communications Technician Level 3 qualification. Functional Skills in Maths and English may also be required depending on current level.
On completion of the apprenticeship, there is the opporutnity for a full time position with IQD. There is also progression onto high level apprentiecship programmes or roles within the business.
