Are you a dynamic Project Manager with a passion in healthcare transformation? Join us at Imperial College NHS Trust and lead on our brand new Outpatients Improvement and Transformation Programme.

18 month Secondment to be considered for internal applicants.

As the Project Manager you'll be at the forefront of delivering key projects on time for our Outpatients Improvement and Transformation Programme, collaborating with a diverse range of clinical and non-clinical staff to achieve our ambitious goals. Whilst this role may be challenging, it is also highly rewarding.

You will work closely with key stakeholders within our Outpatients Services, including Divisional Directors, Heads of Operations, and Clinical Leads, to formalise and implement project plans with a strong focus on improvement, standardisation and centralisation. You'll reconcile competing priorities, secure necessary resources, and adjust plans as needed. Your expertise will be essential in developing local policies and protocols to meet operational requirements.

Resource management is a crucial part of your responsibilities. You'll liaise with clinical and non-clinical teams to ensure proper resource allocation and adherence to budgets. Motivating staff and providing necessary training will be key to meeting project targets.

Main duties of the job

Extensive project management experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Proven ability to analyse complex problems and develop practical solutions, managing and delivering to tight deadlines.

Your job duties will include:

Provide high-level project management for the Outpatients Improvement and Transformation programme, ensuring delivery within allocated timescales.

Establish effective working relationships with clinical and non-clinical staff to achieve project aims and objectives.

Manage project governance, stakeholder engagement, key risks, and issue escalation.

Coordinate resources for each project, linking with wider Trust teams for clear planning and communication.

Lead the design and implementation of communication plans, ensuring accessibility and clarity.

Produce and present summary reports, collate and analyse complex data for the Programme Board and other stakeholders.

  • Masters qualification or equivalent experience
  • Prince 2 or equivalent qualification

  • Marketing or communications qualification

  • Senior manager experience
  • Previous experience of working with a wide range of clinicians to produce project plans / strategy documents
  • Experience of successfully leading innovative projects
