Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and talented Data Quality Analyst to join the Digital Patient Pathway Management Team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

The Data Quality Analyst will be supporting the strategic direction, implementation, and monitoring of data quality management across the Trust's Digital Patient Pathway Management projects.

They will be responsible for ensuring that digital solutions implemented to support digital patient pathway management have data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across platforms, systems and departments, towards driving improvements in patient care and service delivery.

The role will involve collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to embed a culture of high data quality standards, supporting the successful implementation of digital tools and patient management systems.

They will help ensure that data quality metrics are integrated into the broader project reporting mechanisms to track the impact of data quality on patient pathway management and operational performance.

Main duties of the job

  • This post will work to accurately review and correct patient pathways acrossCerner and digital solutions and solutions that enable digital patient pathwaymanagement at the Trust. The post holder will support staff to ensure thataccurate, timely and complete data is recorded on Trust patient administrationsystems and is captured with high quality in relevant digital patient pathwaymanagement tools.
  • This role will focus on improving data quality at source, supporting staff within the team to understand and correct data quality errors.To support the Data Quality Manager in establishing routine procedures whichenable monitoring of team output, and to ensure that all work is of a consistentand high standard.
  • Assess, analyse, interpret and correct data recorded on the Trust's PAS for the purpose of ensuring accuracy of data throughout a patient's journey.Ensure all enquires to the department are dealt with politely, courteously,promptly and professionally.
  • To support with the development of Standard Operating Procedures and ensure these are adhered to by staff.

Education/ Qualifications

Essential
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience.

Experience

Essential
  • Previous extensive administration experience.
  • Experience of working with Cerner PAS
  • Experience working on own initiative including ability to prioritise multiple tas
  • Significant demonstrable experience of working with NHS data sets
  • Significant experience of proactively developing and improving the quality or efficiency of processes
  • Managing competing demands effectively across teams.
  • Experience in building effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of NHS Elective Access Policy and National Performance Targets
Desirable
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Previous experience of working with patient waiting lists
  • Previous experience of supervising staff

Skills/Knowledge/ Abilities

Essential
  • Good keyboard and IT skills - proficient use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain fundamental concepts. Able to negotiate, persuade and motivate in non-line management relationships.
  • Able to exercise judgment in the identification and assessment of highly complex information including the consideration of a range of options and their potential impacts.
  • Able to produce complex, and at times sensitive/contentious reports, utilising word processing, spreadsheet, and presentational IT packages
  • Able to communicate complex information where the receiver's knowledge of the subject may be minimal.
  • Able to concentrate intensively, using significant discretion in decision making activities.
  • Ability to input data and take steps to clean and improve data and train staff inputting data
