Systems Support Engineer
Overview:
Take on a pivotal role supporting advanced systems and equipment. This position requires technical expertise, collaboration, and a customer-focused approach to ensure the reliability and effectiveness of critical technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fulfill in-service support commitments by collaborating with project teams, customers, and end-users.
- Respond proactively to technical issues, customer fault reports, and queries.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults remotely and on-site when required.
- Monitor system performance, conduct root cause analyses, and suggest improvements.
- Implement inspection and preventative maintenance programs.
- Ensure equipment remains safe and operational.
- Conduct defect investigations, surveys, and testing in collaboration with the field support team.
- Maintain Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) documentation and process change requests.
- Identify resource conflicts and support engineering management in resolving them.
- Adhere to and promote engineering best practices for continuous improvement.
- Support obsolescence strategies for relevant product lines.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in any phase of the engineering lifecycle, with a preference for familiarity with technical equipment.
- Strong diagnostic skills for systems and equipment.
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and perform under challenging conditions.
- Good interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage tasks effectively, maintain high-quality standards, and communicate clearly.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel occasionally.
