IT Support Technician

Job Role

The IT Support Technician will be responsible for maintaining ongoing business operations by supporting existing IT systems and implementing system improvements, while also facilitating the adoption of new and emerging technologies.

Duties

  • Day-to-day IT operations, including IT management, configuration, administration, and technical support.
  • Enhance workforce productivity by providing IT training.
  • Investigate and explore both current and emerging technologies.
  • Promote the adoption of new technologies.
  • Assist in managing hardware and software licensing.
  • Provide support for cybersecurity tasks as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and networking.
  • Track and document work activities, compile job reports, and maintain records of support tasks.
  • Follow a continuous improvement process and demonstrate a proactive approach to refining processes, products, and tasks within the role. Ensure key performance indicators are met or exceeded.
  • Commit to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards, lead by example in HSEQ matters, and report all accidents and near-misses to the line manager.
  • Participate actively in HSEQ training, education, and communication. Be accountable for halting work if it is unsafe or not compliant with company standards.
  • Encourage the team to challenge and improve internal and external processes, procedures, and methodologies to enhance the company's offerings.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders and act as a company representative.

Candidate Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a technical support engineer or in a similar IT role.
  • Certifications: IT-related certifications are advantageous.
  • Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to administer Teams and SharePoint online (preferred).
  • Familiarity with the Azure technology stack.

Remuneration

A salary of up to £28K DOE is offered for this position with additional benefits.
